Are your family secure financially should something happen to you? Do you have a Will or Financial or Medical Power of Attorney prepared? Have you thought about who would be responsible for your children’s upbringing should both parents die? Have you accounted for such events within a Will?
Did you know that your superannuation does not form part of your Will? It is a separate legal structure and as such, unless there is a current binding death nomination in place, the distribution of your superannuation benefits will be at the discretion of the Trustees. Are these things you have considered?

Self-Managed Superannuation Funds (SMSF)
We believe advice is about giving you the confidence on your journey to achieving your life goals
Are you contributing enough into superannuation to allow you to retire when you want and be able to afford the lifestyle you envisage in retirement?
At ARA we believe you are never too young or too old to discuss your superannuation and retirement needs. We can provide you with a detailed superannuation/retirement plan, incorporating both tax effective and investment strategies, prepared for your individual situation and to assist you in meeting your financial goals, whatever they may be. Our team is committed to helping our clients 'live the life they want to live'. So ask us how we can help as it may be that the sooner you implement small changes over the longer term you may be in a much better financial position for your retirement had you done nothing.
Our aim is to make it as easy as possible for our clients to achieve the financial future they want. Whether you want to take off on a world trip, retire early, retire rich, save for your children's education, or buy a house, we can help you decide which investment will suit your situation to help achieve the desired outcome (where possible).
We understand many of our clients are time poor and therefore it is our role to not only help you make the right investment decisions, but to also be able to help you to maintain control over your financial affairs without significant administrative workload.
To do this it is important that we make sure that not only do you have the right investment but also the right type of account structure to meet your particular needs. We find that in a lot of cases our clients achieve reduction of their own workload and time in tracking their investments through the use of investment platforms. There are a variety of platform products available that offer different cost structures to cater for all levels of clients and most have the ability to hold hundreds of managed investments as well as all CHESS approved ASX listed securities.
The benefits we see in holding investments on platforms are:
The flexibility to easily switch between a diverse range of managed investments at any time.
Regular, consolidated, easy-to-read reports about your investments.
You can view your account details, any time, any day, online
The ability to transfer all or part of your investments from a Superannuation Account to a Pension Account when required in the future.
Where applicable all of your tax information is provided in a report come tax time which saves you a lot of time recording, preparing and reconciling.
Of course each individuals circumstances would be reviewed and a platform would only be recommended where suitable.
We offer an ongoing Portfolio Management Service to our clients for an agreed fee. We have a range of service packages available at varied cost levels to suit different client individual needs. We usually make the recommendation as to which package we feel would most suit your requirements and that would assist you in achieving your stated goals and objectives.
We find that the package most relevant to the majority of our clients incorporates a detailed review of their portfolio at least every 6 months, along with a meeting with the Advisor to ensure they are staying on track to meet their stated financial goals and objectives, or where circumstances have changed to update these goals and objectives and adjust any strategies accordingly. We find the most successful outcomes occur from regular communication with our clients.
